The Sports World Unites

It's amazing to see how a tragedy such as the Boston Marathon bombing can bring together not only the nation, but the sports world. There has been an outpouring of support from organizations outside of Boston showing their support.  The very next morning, The Chicago Tribune gave tribute with their front page of sports to Boston.

Even the bitter rivals, The New York Yankees sang "Sweet Caroline" at the end of the 3rd inning (a tradition for Red Sox faithful during home game). And the fans even got more into showing their support with signage.  Never in a million years would I have thought you would see something that says "Yankee Fans Love Boston", but it happened.
Perhaps the biggest outpouring from the sports world came the Boston Bruins last night.  The whole crowd joined in on singing the national anthem.  If you haven't seen the video yet circulating on multiple social media platforms do so now!  Sports seems to have a way to forget about what is happening between the lines and remember what is truly important, and the Boston bombing is just another example.
